Okarche, Oklahoma Nitrate Reduction Water Treatment Plant
We are proud to be a part of this great project in Okarche, Oklahoma. With the help of Cowen Engineering, we were able to solve a multi-decade long water quality issue. A new 3000 square foot water treatment plant was completed and put online in June 2025. This facility features a state-of-the-art water monitoring and Nitrate removal filtration system. The system is completely self-contained and even includes its own regeneration and chlorination system. The new plant will be able to lower nitrate levels in the drinking water to acceptable and safe levels for Okarche and its surrounding communities for years to come. Clean water is not only our job but also our passion. Thank you to the City of Okarche for trusting us with your water treatment needs.
Coalgate, Oklahoma Contact Basin
S2O was able to partner with the City of Coalgate to build their new waste water lagoon effluent contact basin. This project was a major upgrade to the city’s infrastructure. It will allow the city to treat its wastewater outflow at the lagoons with Chlorine to kill bacteria and then neutralize the free Chlorine to within EPA regulations before allowing it to enter the watershed. Close coordination was required to get this project completed in a timely manner.
Sardis Lake Water Authority Meter upgrades
Knowing the numbers is important, and nothing tells the numbers like a properly functioning flow meter. Upgrades and maintenance are a big part of keeping up with older, outdated equipment and an ever evolving and improving industry. S2O Contracting has been able to supply and install many flow meter upgrades and new installations. Like this project at the Sardis Water Treatment plant. McAlester Wastewater Treatment Plant
Sometimes mother nature strikes and reminds us how powerful she is. Ice is one of a treatment facility’s many enemies. Unfortunately this clarifier lost the battle with a solid ice sheet that caused a failure of the safety system which led to its complete destruction. If you have been in this industry long enough you know that sometimes things just fail. S2O Contracting was able to get on site quickly to access the situation. It was determined that all components should be replaced. We were able to acquire the components and get the waste water clarifier up in running in record time. McAlester Industrial Park Lift Station
One of our core specialties is wastewater lift stations. We have many years of experience with all aspects of the wastewater collection industry. We can provide for any need you may have: service, maintenance, rehabilitation, or new construction. This project was a rehabilitation job involving the demolition of an existing pump house and replacing all the components of the station including the above ground pumps, internal stainless steel suction and discharge piping, a new concrete lid, new electrical, new controls and a backup generator. We are always glad to see customers utilizing backup power generators when possible. No one likes to deal with backed up sewer during a power outage!
Bethany Warr Acres SBR Motive pump and valve replacement
At the heart of large scale sewerage treatment is the SBR system. When components are not functioning correctly, even small items like valves, can mean major issues for the plant operators. Even more so when you have multiple pumps not functioning. Many challenges presented themselves but through our great network of suppliers and engineers a solution was found and we were able to replace all 4 of the SBR motive pumps and decant valves. NJ Mobile Degasification Project
High levels of CO2 in water can lead to corrosion of pipes and tanks, and can also lower the water’s pH, making it more acidic. These problems plague water systems around the country where fresh water aquifers are close to seawater. With the help of experienced engineers we were able to construct a solution for a customer needing mobile capabilities. This 24’ trailer can be quickly set up and a well site or at a treatment plant and within a couple hours be degasifying water through vacuum. Holdenville Liquid Chlorine Feed
At the core of water treatment is chemical treatment to kill bacteria to make water safe for human consumption. One of the tried and true methods is using Sodium HypoChlorate to achieve safe water drinking conditions. While these systems are widely used, care must be taken to ensure accurate injection and safety operation. Group Camp 1 Lift Station
Along with rehabilitation we also provide new sewage lift stations. This project was a new lift station with a concrete wet well and valve vault. It provided the sewage needs of a newly renovated building. Lift stations are a crucial part of a well designed sewer system. These large pump stations are required more frequently in areas with lots of elevation changes. We strive to provide a high quality product so that operators have as little maintenance as possible. NH Arsenic Removal System
Sometimes traditional water treatments methods aren’t enough to make our water safe to drink. Due to the presence of many toxic chemicals in our world, the necessity for more specific treatment plans are necessary. Arsenic is one of those chemicals. We have had the pleasure of working with a great client on their new arsenic removal system with a large reclaim system for maximum efficiency. This system will be able to maintain safe water levels for years to come.
